Greenpeace: Utenos trikotažas becomes the first producer in the world to fully comply with organization’s environmental standards
The global environmental organization Greenpeace has recognized Lithuanian company and Cluter LATIA Export development friend Utenos trikotažas as the first and so far the only textile company in the world to work entirely according to its textiles procurement standard. Greenpeace has already started to produce its own t-shirts at the Lithuanian company. The new Greenpeace standard embodies all existing best practices in terms of zero use of toxic chemicals, fairness and transparency.

Members of the Cluster Development of LATIA Export participated on October 17-18, 2019 TechTEXTIL Summit, international apparel, and textile innovation event. The event hosted simulation tours, discussions and workshops, and a science-technology-arts session (or - STARTS) where nearly 200 creativity educators, startups and researchers sought out the most effective methodologies for developing innovation.

“Development of LATIA Export” no. 03.2.1-LVPA-K-807-02-0007, funded by the measure "Business cluster LT" no. No. 2 03.2.1-LVPA-K-807-02 has marked a successful start in June 2019. The activities planned during the project were discussed in the original board meeting. Topical issues of the world that determine the opportunities and challenges of Lithuanian textile export development were discussed. The project activity agenda has been revised and approved, with additional activities that will ensure the implementation of best practice principles. Intended activities: Dissemination and research of innovative textile technologies.
