Members of the Cluster Development of LATIA Export participated on October 17-18, 2019 TechTEXTIL Summit, international apparel, and textile innovation event. The event hosted simulation tours, discussions and workshops, and a science-technology-arts session (or - STARTS) where nearly 200 creativity educators, startups and researchers sought out the most effective methodologies for developing innovation.
The innovative products were presented at the specialized clothing and textile business exhibition Baltic Fashion & Textile Vilnius. Almost 400 companies from 21 countries present their products and services this year. The exhibition was visited by almost 10 thousand people.
LATIA was established in 1991 to facilitate its members to develop and develop their activities independently. At present, the association unites more than 120 members - textile, home textile companies, knitwear, clothing sewing, finishing, leather and fur, footwear companies, trading companies selling fabrics, clothes, accessories, leather products, sewing and textile equipment, service companies and educational institutions.

The business cluster “LATIA Export Development” is united by 10 textile and fashion companies of the country, which seek to introduce themselves in foreign countries and promote export.
According to the data of the Department of Statistics, exports of goods of Lithuanian origin amounted to LTL 194.9 million in the first quarter of this year. or 7.6 percent. less than at the same time last year (EUR 202.4 million). The export of goods of Lithuanian origin in 2018 was 759.59 mln. euros.
