In the end of the April during the meeting of the LATIA Presidium and Cluster LATIA Export Development there were:
- there were discussed the implications of COVID-19 for the business of environmental and textile companies. It can be seen that orders are shrinking and the most difficult time for companies might come in May-June.
- The business support measures proposed by the government are too bureaucratic and they are difficult to meet qualification requirements. Therefore, LATIA propose to the Government to help companies up to 1 month turnover of non-refundable support by subsidizing downtime or utility tax exemptions and up to 2 months. turnover repayable within 3 years through state-guaranteed loans, guarantees, export insurance. It is also important for our members to get loans faster and easier, we want downtime to be paid directly to employees, as well as to be able to certify medical protection measures in Lithuania.
- It has been decided that the presidium will meet every two weeks. On the website of the association, LATIA members will share opportunities to produce or perform work in the production process and will offer the strength and cooperation of the work performed.
